Die casting

ADC Manufacturing provides expert die casting services for high-volume runs with excellent dimensional accuracy, stability and tight tolerances.

Our capabilities include:

• Four 650-ton cold chamber machines that can die cast aluminum shot weights of three to six pounds.
• Two 400-ton cold chamber machines capable of producing shots of one to four pounds.

Die casting output is finished as needed with trim presses up to 35-ton capacities and a 20-cubic-foot Sweco Vibro-Energy finishing mill capable of cleaning, polishing and smoothing to your specific requirements. Throughout the entire process, all components are visually checked at every stage by experienced operators who have been trained to maintain the high standards of quality and workmanship for which ADC is known.

Metallurgical advancements over the past few decades have brought new capabilities and applications to die casting. Die cast alloys today:

• Are durable with high tensile strength and hardness
• Exhibit electrical and thermal conductivity
• May be cast with thinner walls and with textures ranging from smooth to coarse
• Offer corrosion resistance with excellent finishing characteristics and EMI shielding
• Are fully recyclable
• Are typically stronger and stiffer than plastic injection moldings with the same dimensions.
